Optacrom - Eye Drop
Sodium Cromoglycate 2% Eye/Nasal prep - 2%

Indication: Allergic rhinitis, Allergic conjuntivitis
Adult Dose: For eyes: Adult: 1 to 2 drops into each eye 2 to 3 times daily. For nose: Adult: 1-2 drop to each nostril 2 to 4 times daily.
Child Dose: For eyes: Child: 1 to 2 drops into each eye 2 to 3 times daily. For nose: Child: 1-2 drop to each nostril 2 to 4 times daily.
Contraindication: This drop is contraindicated in patient with hypersensitivity to Sodium Cromoglicate .
Mode of Action: Sodium Cromoglycate inhibits degranulation of mast cells and therefore suppresses the release of histamine, leukotrienes and slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis.
Precaution: As this drop contains benzalkonium chloride, patients should not wear contact lenses during treatment with this drop.
Side Effect: Intranasal use: Transient irritation of nasal mucosa. Sneezing and epistaxis (occasional). Eye drops: Transient burning and stinging.
