Hexisol 500ml - Hand Rub Chlorhexidine Gluconate - 1 500ml bot(s) / 500ml bot ACI Limited Indication: A rapid acting wide spectrum microbicidal preparation to disinfect clean hand of Doctor's, Nurse's & Person's; prior to a surgical procedures or after handling contaminated materials. To disinfect surgical instruments. To disinfect skin prior to surgery or other invasive procedures. To disinfect wound dressing. Administration: It most commonly administered topically, applied directly to the skin or mucous membranes. The specific administration method and instructions for chlorhexidine gluconate will vary depending on the product formulation and the intended use. Adult Dose: To disinfect clean hands or contaminated materials: Take an essential amount (approximately 3 ml) and scrub the entire surface of both hands until dry. To disinfect surgical instruments, place an appropriate amount (approximately 5 ml) in a clean pot and immerse the instruments for 2 minutes. To disinfect the skin before surgery or other invasive procedures: Using cotton, apply an appropriate amount (approximately 3 ml) to the skin and scrub it until dry. To disinfect a wound/wound dressing, apply an essential amount (approximately 3 ml) to cotton and scrub it on the wound until it is dry. Child Dose: The dosage for children is typically determined by their age. Younger children may need fewer doses than older children. Renal Dose: Topical chlorhexidine gluconate use is unlikely to have a significant impact on the renal dose required by people with renal impairment. Contraindication: It should not be used in patients who are Hypersensitivity to Chlorhexidine Gluconate or any composition to it. Mode of Action: At physiologic pH, chlorhexidine salts dissociate and release the positively charged chlorhexidine cation. The bactericidal effect is a result of the binding of this cationic molecule to negatively charged bacterial cell walls. At low concentrations of chlorhexidine, this results in a bacteriostatic effect; at high concentrations, membrane disruption results in cell death. Precautions: Avoid contact with brain, meninges, middle ear or sensitive tissues and eyes. Do not inject or use in body cavities. Side Effect: Skin irritation, allergic reactions and teeth discoloration. May cause eye problems if direct contact occurs. Pregnancy & Lactation: This is safe for pregnant woman. It is not known whether this is safe or not in lactation. Interaction: Chlorhexidine is incompatible with soaps and other anionic agents. Hypochlorite bleaches may cause brown stains to develop in fabrics which have previously been in contact with chlorhexidine solutions. Storage Conditions: Keep away from eye, head and meninges & middle ear. Store in a cool and dry place, away from light, Keep out of the reach of children.
