Introduction: Bremax Tab is used for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder(COPD) ,a lung disorder in which flow of air to the lung is blocked. How to use Bremax Tab: Use this medicine in dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label before use. Make sure the skin is clean and dry. Remove the protective liner of the patch. Do not touch the sticky side. With sticky side down, place the patch evenly onto the skin.
How Bremax Tab works: Bremax Tab is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. This makes breathing easier.
What if you forget to take Bremax Tab?: If you miss a dose of Bremax Tab, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
Indication: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Adult Dose: Oral Bronchodilation Adult: Initially, 1-2 mg bid, increase to 2 mg tid if necessary.
Child Dose: Oral Bronchodilation Child: 1-6 yr: 0.25-0.5 mg bid, 6-10 yr: 0.5-1 mg bid, 10-14 yr: 1-1.5 mg bid.
Contraindication: Phaeochromocytoma.
Mode of Action: Tulobuterol is a direct-acting sympathomimetic with selective action on ?2-receptors. It is available orally, as a inhaler and as a transdermal patch. It is given as the hydrochloride by mouth and the base as transdermal formulation and inhalation.
Precaution: Hyperthyroidism, myocardial insufficiency, arrhythmias, susceptibility to QT-interval prolongation, hypertension and DM.
Side Effect: Fine tremor of skeletal muscle, palpitations, muscle cramps, tachycardia, nervous tension, headache, peripheral vasodilatation, hypersensitivity reactions.
Interaction: Increased risk of arrhythmia with digoxin. Hypokalaemia with concomitant admin of xanthines, corticosteroids and diuretics.
